How To Prepare For Monsoon Season
- Run the pool equipment longer. We recommend at least 4 additional hours per day. The more the better after a storm.
- Skim the top and bottom of your pool in between services with a leaf net.
- Clean the skimmer and pump baskets in between services visits.
- Make sure your auto vacuum is working and not clogged with debris.
- Brush the visible dirt on the sides and bottom of the pool.
- Shock pool with oxidizer.
Why Is My Pool Green?
Feeling a little overwhelmed with your pool? Well, we’re happy to help! Here are the top 3 tips on keeping your pool sparkling!
- Circulation is a huge factor when it comes to keeping your pool clean. Make sure your filters are working property and maintained with cleaning/backwashing as recommended by manufacturer.
- Emptying your pump and skimmer baskets often, especially after monsoon storms, will be a game changer.
- Excessive amounts of debris in your pool can throw off the balance of your pool’s chemistry. It only takes one week for a pool to turn green, but it can take sometimes 1-3 services to get it fully turned around.
